What reviewers say

1 source summarisedChecked 7 Oct 2026

Padel Market compared it with the standard Metalbone. The denser High Memory EVA makes it firmer but still reactive, and gives more control, better response when you accelerate and maximum smash power with good technique. Their tester preferred the HRD+.

What testers like

  • Firmer, more controllable
  • Responds well at high swing speed
  • Maximum smash power

Watch out for

  • Medium-hard feel
  • Needs good technique
Suits
Advanced attackers with a fast swing.
Core
High Memory EVA (denser, for high swing speeds)

Paladex’s read

For strong hitters. If you're unsure, the standard Metalbone is the safer pick.

Shape
DiamondWidest high up near the tip, tapering in straight lines to the throat. The sweet spot sits high on the face. Maximum leverage for overheads and smashes. The smaller, higher sweet spot punishes off-centre hits, so it rewards good technique.
Weight
345–360 gOn the light side: easy to swing for long matches and quick at the net, with less mass behind the ball.
Balance
High (head-heavy) · ≈ 272 mm (estimated)Where the weight is concentrated. Hits harder on smashes and volleys, but feels slower to swing and is more demanding on the shoulder and elbow. Higher balance generally favours power, lower balance usually improves maneuverability.
Thickness
38 mmA full 38 mm profile (the regulation maximum) gives more stability and power.
Frame material
Tubular carbon (Octagonal Structure)
Face material
16K aluminised carbon
Core
High memory EVA (hard)Maximum precision and power when you hit fast. Slow balls need more effort to push, and more vibration reaches the arm.
Surface
3D textureThe most bite on the ball, for players who rely on spin and effects.
Hardness
HardA firm, dense core.
Sweet spot
High on the faceDerived from the shape class. The 3D zone is an illustration, not a measurement.
