Paladex’s read

A strong all-rounder. Unless you want a pure specialist it covers most of what a club player needs, and the damping is a bonus.

Brand: Head
Model: Speed Pro 2025
Collection: Speed
Year: 2025
Shape: TeardropWidest a little above the middle, narrowing towards the throat. The sweet spot sits slightly higher than on a round racket. The middle ground: more reach and punch than round, more forgiveness than diamond. It suits players who attack and defend.
Weight: 370 gOn the heavy side: more stability and punch, but more tiring over long matches and slower in fast exchanges.

Our take

Sample editorialPaladex editorial (sample)

Teardrop handling, attacking intent

A fast, punchy teardrop that bridges the gap between all-round and power.

The Speed Pro adds weight towards the head for overheads while keeping a teardrop's more accessible sweet spot. The foam core feels lively, and the mixed face gives some feel on touch shots.

Pros

Strong overheads for a teardrop
Lively response
Good spin potential

Cons

Firm feel
Balance may tire the arm in long sessions

Verdict

A strong option for ambitious intermediates who want more punch.

3D inspection notes

Look at the top edge view to see how the teardrop head stays wide well above the middle.
