What reviewers say

2 sources summarisedChecked 7 Oct 2026

Padel Verdict calls it a hard-edged diamond. Clean contact brings explosive pace, heavy spin and authority at the net, but the sweet spot is not generous and off-centre shots lose quality quickly.

What testers like

  • Explosive pace on clean contact
  • Heavy spin
  • Authority at the net

Watch out for

  • Small sweet spot
  • Head-heavy setup tires the arm over long matches
  • Not for defensive players
Suits
Advanced, competitive attackers with sound technique.

Paladex’s read

Babolat's most uncompromising Viper. Only choose it if you already hit the ball cleanly and play to finish; the Technical Viper Soft or the Veron give more back.

Our take

Sample editorialPaladex editorial (sample)

A firm, direct power diamond

Hard core and high balance for maximum punch. Precise, but unforgiving when you are late.

The Technical Viper feels direct: the hard core and head-heavy balance send the ball off the face fast when you swing hard. Slow balls and blocked returns need more effort, and the high sweet spot asks for clean contact.

Pros

  • Explosive on smashes
  • Precise feel at high swing speeds
  • Textured face for spin

Cons

  • Hard feel on slow balls
  • Small margin for error

Verdict

A specialist's racket for strong attackers.

3D inspection notes

Turn to the grip view: the throat bridge is visible here, a detail that adds stiffness between the arms.
