Paladex’s read

It gives a lot and asks a lot. If the Hack's power appeals but the harshness worries you, the Hack 04 Comfort is the version to try.

Our take

Sample editorialPaladex editorial (sample)

The quicker power diamond

Diamond punch with a slightly less head-heavy setup, which makes it faster in exchanges.

Its balance sits lower than many diamonds, so the Hack 04 feels quicker to bring up for volleys while still offering strong overheads. The textured face helps on spin smashes.

Pros

Powerful but quick
Good spin
Solid at the net

Cons

Still a demanding sweet spot
Firm feel

Verdict

A great diamond for players who want speed as well as punch.
